Martha Younger

Martha has been a nationally certified coach since 1985.  She has been very fortunate to have trained and worked with horse industry professionals from all over the world such as Jay Hayes, Gerry McCallum, Alice Debany, Abdullah Al Marri and others from Canada, the US, France, Great Britain and the UAE.  In addition, Martha has been fortunate to work with elite equestrian athletes both human and equine in a variety of countries. For the past four years Martha has been focussing on doctorate which was conferred in March of 2018 and, as a result, has limited her coaching to a small handful of talented and committed riders.  The outcome of this is that BDF has realised how important it is to offer individual attention and carefully designed programs to maximise the success of our clients.  She is still actively involved with sourcing and developing top quality sport ponies and show jumpers.  When you work with Martha you will always have her full attention.

Alexandra Millar

Amateur rider, Alley has been competing since she could barely walk.  She is a sensitive and effective rider of young horses and ponies.  Alley has shown our horses and ponies on the line, in pleasure driving, on the 'A' circuit in both the hunter and jumper rings and at the FEI level in both Dressage and Show Jumping. Notably Alley placed 5th in the World in 2012 in the FEI WDC Children's division, has represented Canada in the UAE on her 1.20m jumper and qualified for the 2013 CET regional finals placing 3rd in the first phase.  More recently Alley represented Canada as an individual YR at the 2016 NAJYR finals and finished 9th over all in the Canadian U25 series.  Alley is fortunate to have competed on three continents and has been trained by notable show jumping coaches such as Alice Debany, Cian O'Conner, Richard Keller, and Dressage coaches Vai Bruntick, Sjak Laarakkers and Neriede Goodman.

Charlotte Millar

Junior rider, Charlotte is a fierce competitor!  She began her showjumping career at the tender age of six when she piloted Prince around the Novice Jumper division in the UAE.  Since then she has brought many ponies to the winners circle in the Canadian hunter ring, eventing, dressage and - her great love - pony jumper.  Petite herself, Charlotte and her ponies, cheerfully and successfully beat out horse and rider combinations considerably larger and more "experienced".  Notably, Charlotte piloted a barely 12hh pony to the FEI WDC finals in Dubai, placing 4th against horses.  This past season Charlotte and her pony Royal had a remarkable season in the the pony jumpers, 1.0m jumpers and 1.10m jumpers.  They competed in the 2013 Pony Jumper Challenge at the Royal Winter Fair, placing third with the fastest time and in the 2014 Pony Jumper Championships winning every class to finish Canadian Pony Jumper Champion.
